Inspiration of the Day #8

“The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
– Steve Jobs (Jobs)

I don’t consider, nor have I ever thought, myself to be a fan or follower of Steve Jobs. He was a dominant force in an industry that impacts the world but doesn’t have that big of a place in my world. That said, I look for any and all sources of motivation and inspiration, and there is no denying that Steve Jobs was a force.

The movie Jobs is a decent portrayal of his rise from nothing, fall from the spotlight, and then rise again. What can I say? His life was nothing short of a rollercoaster ride and watching it on the big screen definitely makes you think. He was tenacious and never stopped pushing the envelope.

This came, of course, at the expense of personal relationships. I do not admire how he conducted himself on a personal level and I am sure that he probably could have toned it down in some areas, but he was who and what he was and he changed the world, whether you like him or not.

Jobs stars Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs and Josh Gad as Steve Wozniak. There are a bunch of other familiar faces you are sure to recognize but those two were absolute masters of their individual roles. The movie didn’t exactly keep me on the edge of my seat, but it was definitely worth the watch.
