I am trying so hard to enjoy the Trials of Apollo series by Rick Riordan. I absolutely love the concepts that he has employed in his past works. Unfortunately, it is starting to seem like another case of overmilking a cow. It would be one thing if there was some kind of reuse of old ideas but he is so heavily injecting woke culture into his work that the imagination that originally made him so unique is being undone by his insistence on pandering. Am I the only one?
