I hope that everyone is having (or had) a fantastic Thanksgiving with family, friends, or both. I feel it is important to constantly remember to be grateful and to take time every day, not just the holiday, to think of something or someone you are grateful for.
I am grateful for a lot of things. I have a wonderful wife. I have a family that means the world to me. My friends are the best people I know. My dog is second to none. There are truly so many things to appreciate that it is important that I take a moment to point a few minor details out that you may, or may not have, considered.
There are a lot of people working right now so that we have the opportunity to enjoy this special day. Doctors and nurses are at the hospitals ready to assist anyone needing medical attention, police are patrolling the roads while dispatchers operate the phones and radios while coordinating police movements, and firefighters and ambulances are on standby and ready to respond at a moment’s notice.
I am biased, but the most important shout-out of the day for me is for the brave, selfless, men and women of the armed forces standing watch. There are not strong enough words to express the love and gratitude I have for you.
I love you all. Stay safe. Stay frosty.
