Remember

Days like today are important. It is a time to take a few steps back, silence anything and everything distracting, and look around. What do you see?

America is not the only country that is free, but we are blessed to enjoy life with a sense of safety and a better quality that is so far above and beyond anything that came before us. Set aside politics, anger, frustration, and disagreement for a moment and take a breath.

You are allowed to think what you want. You are allowed to say what you want. You are allowed to feel the way you want. You can walk out in public knowing that you are allowed to be there and do whatever you want so long as it doesn’t impede the freedom of others.

That wasn’t free. That freedom, believe it or not, came with a price tag. Please enjoy the day safely and responsibly. Smile, laugh, and have a good time. And be grateful. There are a lot of brave men and woman that are working day in and day out to ensure that you are able to continue living the way you want to live.

To all of you serving or who have served, you will forever and always have my love and respect.
