The Alchemist

Book 6 of 2023

The Alchemist has to be among my absolute favorites. If I was not trying to stick to the simplicity of a scale of 1 – 5 I would have rated this book even higher. I first read this book back in 2015, but it is one of those books that is re-readable. I have read the hard copy multiple times and I have even listened to the audio version.

An inspirational and motivational story about a boy that goes on a journey to discover a treasure that he saw in his dreams. He faces the hardships and difficulties along the way that life can throw at anyone, regardless of life circumstances, for whatever reason. The story serves as a clear and easy to follow message that nothing worth having is acquired without challenges along the way.

I highly recommend this book and the best part is that there really is no age specific audience that this is meant for. The language is clean, easy to understand, and could be followed by someone new to reading, or a literary professional. You owe it to yourself and those around you to give this book a read.
